Does being a mom spell G-U-I-L-T?

Sometimes it seems like motherhood and guilt can't be separated. As moms, there are a lot of expectations we try to meet and exceed. When we "fail", the result is guilt. What causes moms to feel guilt? Here are some typical answers I hear:

Losing my patience
Not playing with my children enough
Not giving equal attention to siblings
Letting my children watch too much TV
Taking time for myself
Not having energy for my husband
Not being able to stay on top of everything
Being a working mom
Wanting to be a working mom
And so on...
